Snapchat to Keep Updated Users With Covid-19 Updates a New Segment #Article

Snapchat recently revealed it would launch a news feed for coronavirus to keep users up to date on the current pandemic alerts.

The new panel will include reports on what is documented from selected news outlets as well as information on health organizations such as the World Health Organization and the United Kingdom National Health Service. These will also display official correspondence from the White House coronavirus task force along with policy statements.

That's not all, Snapchat has also launched its "Coronavirus: Slow the Spread" page, dedicated to COVID-19 awareness. The channel will also feature stories about Snap users and how they manage and cope with lockdowns in quarantine.

The business is also releasing a new AR game based on busting common myths and misconceptions about COVID-19. Last week, Snapchat also launched a 'Here for You' mental health center to provide assistance and support to users amid coronavirus tension and fear.

Snapchat is home to many young people and the app will do everything it can to keep them updated on COVID-19. Although it has been noted that there have been fewer young victims, this does not mean they are immune and have to play their part in keeping themselves and their loved ones safe from the virus.
