The transportation industry is among Australia's fastest growing sectors. Holding a full driving license, however, isn't enough when driving a hire car, motorcycle, public bus, rideshare, courier vehicle etc. In that case even a driver accreditation is a must.

A driver accreditation is a state-of-the-art scheme for determining that the driver meets all safety standards and is fit for industry.

There is a prerequisite for every State and territory. However, to qualify for driver accreditation, a Traffic Background, Medical Background and Criminal History test will usually be required in states such as South Australia, Dealing with Children and Northern Territory, Insolvency review may be required.

The type of offence, how old the offense was, how serious it is being reviewed in the Traffic History test. The Austroads and National Transport Commission have set certain criteria of Medical Background screening. The applicant must meet the requirement.
