Transportation industry is among the fastest growing sectors in Australia. However, holding a full driving license is not enough when driving a hire car, bicycle, public bus, rideshare, vehicle delivery etc. In that case an accreditation of the driver is also a must.

Each State and territory is subject to a requirement. However, in states like South Australia, Dealing with Children and Northern Territories, a Driving History, Medical Background and Criminal Background test may usually be required to apply for driver accreditation. Insolvency review may be required.

The type of violation, how old the violation was, how serious it is being reviewed in the History of Traffic. The Austroads and National Transport Commission have set some Medical History Testing requirements. The requestor must fulfill the requirement.

No Certificates of Criminal Background Examination can be issued for 3-6 months. The applicant may request the test from an approved site itself, or the driver accreditation body will be conducting the test name of the applicant. The current driver accreditation holders and accreditation may also be cancelled under strict supervision if any criminal changes occur.

In 3 cases, applications for driver accreditation can be excluded. Mostly if Working with Children checks prevent someone from working in this sector.
