In recent weeks, many individuals have exercised social distance by working from home. While this arrangement can be a great way to reduce one's exposure to COVID-19, it is a luxury that only 29 per cent of Americans have access to.

The situation is unclear, to say the least, for the remaining 71 per cent. Because of business shutdowns and mandated lockdown orders a significant portion of the population has lost their jobs. Others employed in "essential services" have continued to work as usual but may face an increased risk of potential viral exposure.

To that end, the infographic today leverages data from the Occupational Information Network to determine which occupations face the highest risk of COVID-19 exposure.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone differently, particularly in terms of the day-to-day occupational risks.

Front-line people, whether they care for patients or store supermarket shelves, are putting themselves at risk to ensure that our neighborhoods will continue to operate smoothly. Meanwhile, those fortunate enough to work from home, even on weekends, can help flatten the curve by continuing to practice safe social distancing.
