Home cleaning is a top priority in two major seasons: Spring and Winter. Seventy-six percent of Americans claim to be interested in spring cleaning each year, and many are facing a messy home before family visits for vacation time.

While deep cleaning is common in these times, routine maintenance is also required year-round. Not only can a dirty home cause the spread of bacteria and allergens, it is also a source of emotional tension. 66 per cent of Americans, when asked, said they feel stressed or anxious about a dirty home.

We asked 1,000 Americans about their cleaning habits to get a deeper insight into how people treat home cleaning. When asked "Who does most of the cleaning in your home?," 63 percent reported doing the cleaning themselves, 12 percent gave it to their wife or other significant, and 12 percent pawn it off on a maid or cleaning service. More than 5 per cent of respondents said their roommate, mother, sibling or relative had done most of the cleaning.

The effect of the decluttering has been confirmed on mood and self-esteem. Clutter can confuse our senses, remove the attention from other things, and make it difficult to relax. This can inhibit innovation and performance. This disorganized state is also a source of embarrassment and guilt for tourists about what they will look like in your house.
