Two years ago, the social media giant Instagram made a brave move— it took the finest service from its immediate competitor, Snapchat, and applied a twist to its own to produce Instagram stories. The concept behind Instagram Stories was to enable users to share the "less-glamorous" moments of their lives, with posts going away 24 hours later.
Stories can be shot and decorated right in the app, offering a pressure-free alternative to the otherwise "perfect" Instagram feed. Instagram Stories turned out to be Instagram's best product, and Facebook in particular.
